Mary Catherine Burke's entire life revolves around the Burke Jewelry business. Consumed by her work, MC has not had time to pursue her
own passions. Just when she thought she might be able to delve into other interests, vicious rumors link her family's wealth and success to several murders and black market diamonds stolen from the
mines of South Africa. The trail leads her to the beautiful island of St. Maarten, where she runs head on into Police Captain Blake.
Rod Williams and his partner, Scott McKay, were very successful solving crimes for the Massachusetts State Police. Devastated by the untimely death of his beloved wife and then his
revered father, Rod has decided to escape the present and dwell in his memories. He returns to the Café at Friar's Beach, St. Martin to lose himself in his past…until a chance encounter with MC.
Mary Catherine is desperate to know the truth. Frustrated at every turn, MC seeks help from Rod, possibly her only hope. But, Rod is consumed by his own personal tragedies.
